STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES

Nikishia Lane, M.S., Counselor
Hello, Dailey Middle School families!
My name is Mrs. Lane, and I’m honored to serve another year as your school counselor. I’m excited to continue supporting our students as they navigate their academic, personal, and social-emotional growth.
Although I’m often called a “military brat,” my roots are in Wichita Falls, Texas. Growing up and experiencing life in different places shaped my appreciation for diverse cultures, perspectives, and experiences. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Huston-Tillotson University, a Master of Science in Psychology from Grand Canyon University, and my counseling certification from Angelo State University. I bring 19 years of experience in education supporting students’ growth both in and beyond the classroom.
As a counselor, my goal is to support students in three key areas: social growth, emotional well-being, and academic success. I believe students thrive when families and schools work together, and I look forward to partnering with you to create a safe, supportive environment where every student feels valued, confident, and empowered to reach their goals. Whether a student needs support building positive relationships, developing coping skills, navigating challenges, or planning for their academic future, I’m here to walk alongside them.
I’m grateful to be part of the Dailey Middle School community and look forward to a wonderful year of learning, growth, and partnership!

-
If you indicated “No” to counseling services during online registration, you should have received a ParentSquare message outlining my role and how I support students.
- If I have not yet heard back from you, I will send a brief follow-up message on Friday, October 2nd.
- If your answer remains “No,” that is completely okay. Please note, however, that your child will be temporarily assigned to a different classroom during our scheduled guidance lesson times.
